Return and Exchange Policy
We offer 365 Money Back Guarantee* on every product with free return shipping for orders placed on windwardboardshop.com. Returned item(s) must be in brand new condition with all appropriate tags/labels/boxes/packaging in tact in their original state. *Purchases placed with Affirm monthly payments are only eligible for return within 90 days of the original purchase date.
If your item arrives to you damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Any damaged item return requests after that period will void the return/exchange policy.
If your order was placed after May 10th 2014, there will be a pre-paid shipping label included with your package. If you have lost the included return label or placed your order before May 10th 2014, please contact us here or call us at 888.706.0090 and include a short description explaining the circumstances around your return. Include your name, address, order number, e-mail address, and phone number.
When sending back an item(s) for a return/exchange be sure to pack returned items as securely as they were sent to you to prevent return shipping damage. Items sent back in-securely and damaged in-transit as determined by Windward Boardshop will void the money back guarantee and return request.
Refunds can only be processed back to the original card used during purchase or saved in our system as store credit for the value of the returned merchandise. Gift cards and store credit is NOT refundable to cash or credit cards at any time.
If you require a refund and your original payment method was through PayPal or Amazon Checkout, your refund can only be processed to the account you used to complete your original payment.
After a period of 60-180 days after your purchase, your refund may require us to contact you to process the refund payment. We don’t store your card info and our payment processors only allow between 60 and 180 days (depending on the processor) to automatically issue a refund for your original purchase. Any refunds after 60 days may require additional processing time to issue your refund. The extended refund period for our accepted payment processors includes:
- PayPal – 60-365 days after purchase (refunds requested will require a reverse payment from our PayPal account to yours)
- Credit Card Payments (any direct credit card entry on windwardboardshop.com) – 90-365 days from purchase (we will contact you for card information – refunds after that point will be issued to original card made for purchase)
- Amazon Payments – 180-365 days from purchase (refunds after that point will be issued via store credit or check made out to original purchaser and mailed to original order address)
- Affirm Monthly Payments – All Affirm purchases are only eligible for return within 90 days of the original order date
Certain items are subject to oversized shipping through freight and are subject to additional shipping costs. In this event, windward boardshop will contact you with an updated shipping cost and not process your order until the necessary shipping method is agreed upon by the customer.
How return/exchange process works:
- Read and understand the return policy above
- Securely pack up the item(s) you want to return/exchange & stick on the included (or sent) pre-paid label
- Drop off the packed item with pre-paid label at your nearest FedEx location. Find a FedEx location here.
- Once we receive the package we will issue your refund or send out your exchange.
- LOSE THE LABEL? Contact us for a new pre-paid shipping label.

Note that our return policy may be different if you are purchasing items from us on an external site that is not windwardboardshop.com. Our standard return policy for external shopping sites is 30 days from the delivery date and does not include free return labels. This includes but is not limited to Amazon.com, Jet.com or any other external marketplace. See the specific return policies on those sites for more details.
